Terms of Use

General conditions for use of the taxup.com.br website and the services made available by Taxup Consultoria Ltda.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the taxup.com.br website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any provision, do not use the Site.

The Site is maintained by Taxup Consultoria Ltda. ("TaxUp"), Brazilian taxpayer registry (CNPJ) 58.268.857/0001-77.

2. Nature of the content

The content published on the Site is strictly informational and educational in nature, covering tax, regulatory and corporate matters. It does not constitute legal advice and does not replace individualized professional counsel.

In line with the Code of Ethics and Discipline of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and Provision 205/2021, the content of the Site:

  • Does not promise outcomes in specific cases;
  • Does not solicit clients in a vulgar or commercial manner;
  • Does not draw nominal comparisons with competitors;
  • Does not replace individualized legal analysis.

Any tax decision based on information from the Site must be validated through specific, formal legal counsel.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, images, video, infographics, code, design, trademarks and visual identity — is the exclusive property of TaxUp or of licensed third parties, protected by Brazilian Law 9,610/1998 (Copyright) and Law 9,279/1996 (Industrial Property).

It is permitted to:

  • Quote short excerpts for academic or journalistic purposes, with clear attribution to TaxUp and a link to the original source;
  • Share links to pages of the Site on social media.

It is prohibited to:

  • Reproduce content in full without express written authorization;
  • Use TaxUp trademarks, logos or visual identity without authorization;
  • Perform reverse engineering, scraping or mass copying of the Site;
  • Use the content to train artificial intelligence models without express authorization.

4. Permitted and prohibited use

Use of the Site is intended for:

  • Professionals and companies interested in tax information;
  • Prospective clients booking a consultation;
  • Researchers, students and professionals in the field.

It is prohibited to use the Site to:

  • Conduct unlawful activities or activities contrary to Brazilian law;
  • Distribute offensive, defamatory or discriminatory content, or content that violates third-party rights;
  • Attempt to access restricted areas, systems or unauthorized data;
  • Overload the Site infrastructure (DoS/DDoS attacks, abusive scraping);
  • Insert viruses, malware or malicious code.

5. Limitation of liability

TaxUp endeavors to keep the content of the Site accurate, current and compliant with applicable law. However:

  • Content may become outdated as a result of regulatory, case-law or interpretive changes;
  • TaxUp is not liable for business or tax decisions made solely on the basis of content from the Site;
  • TaxUp is not liable for external links or third-party content referenced;
  • Continuous availability of the Site is not guaranteed — scheduled maintenance and occasional outages may occur.

6. Booking a diagnostic

The free tax diagnostic offered by TaxUp is an introductory meeting of approximately 30 minutes, at no cost and with no obligation to engage further.

The diagnostic:

  • Does not constitute a formal legal opinion;
  • Does not establish a binding attorney-client relationship;
  • Cannot be used as the basis for a judicial decision without complementary, formalized analysis.

An attorney-client relationship is established only after a specific services agreement is signed.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the judicial district of São Paulo, SP are elected to settle any disputes arising from these Terms, waiving any other, however privileged.

8. Changes

These Terms may be updated at any time. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change implies agreement with the new version.
