Careers at TaxUp

TaxUp operates as a boutique — a lean senior team, deep technical specialization, a senior consultant leading every engagement. The profile we look for reflects that structure: professionals with technical depth, autonomy and a commitment to excellence.

Culture and ways of working

The firm is organized around boutique operating principles:

  • Consultants on execution — no delegation to juniors through hierarchical layers. The responsible consultant leads every engagement personally.
  • Technical depth as the differentiator — continuous investment in keeping up with case law, regulation and specialized literature.
  • Lean, well-compensated work — a small team with broad responsibility for each matter. Compensation in line with the Brazilian top tier.
  • Bilingual service — engagements with domestic and international clients (multinationals, foreign founders). Fluent English is a substantial advantage.
  • Technical work compliant with the OAB — practice in line with the Code of Ethics and Discipline and the Legal Profession Statute.

Profiles we typically look for

Although there are no open positions at the moment, we welcome unsolicited CVs from professionals with the following profiles:

  • Senior Tax Attorney — 5+ years of experience at a tax law firm or consultancy, specialized in the Brazilian Tax Reform, Transfer Pricing, Tax Credit Recovery or CARF litigation.
  • Mid-level Tax Attorney — 2–5 years of experience, with solid tax law training (LL.M. or specialization) and growth potential on complex engagements.
  • Tax Accountant with a digital tax-audit profile — command of SPED, EFD-Contribuições, EFD-Reinf, ECF, ECD and NF-e 5.0.
  • Transfer Pricing Specialist — prior experience at a Big 4, an international firm or the tax department of a multinational. Command of the OECD Guidelines and comparables databases.
  • Tax Law Intern — students in their 7th or 8th semester with a clear interest in corporate tax.

  2. Technical interview with the consultant responsible for the area;
  3. Practical case — analysis of a real (anonymized) tax scenario with technical discussion;
  4. Final conversation on cultural fit and expectations.

The entire process is confidential. We keep clear communication on progress and outcome.
